Keyword Research Services – Can They Save You Time And Money?
Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? I can find lots of them. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Well, that’s not always the case.
The keyword data you see will be out of date and wrong. It would have been correct at some point though. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. My heart sank, I thought my task was gonna be twice as hard now. Turned out though that an awful lot of the extra competing pages had my articles on them!
If I had saw 9000 competing sites I would have passed this keyword by. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. Not a bad situation to be in if you ask me.
Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. I had figured that the daily cost against how much work I would save is value for my money.
Travis Sago was offering a keyword research service which I decided to try. Let’s face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. Bum marketing is something I really like.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. If I put the time saved up against the daily cost it shows clearly there’s value to be had.
All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. I see this as an outsourcing project. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
